Swift programming language for Cocoa and Cocoa Touch

Apple has come out with Swift, a new programming language for Cocoa and Cocoa Touch. It was introduced this month at WWDC in San Francisco and as Apple stated, Swift code works side by side with Objective-C.

Swift will bring many advantages for programmers. The Swift named parameters are directly derived from Objective-C and are more readable, easier to maintain due to their cleaner syntax, hence programmers will find it less likely to make mistakes.

At appsfresh.com, Yohann Taieb has prepared a nice and concise hands-on Swift video course tutorial in which he invites you to code along with him and create a real iOS app, a fully functional calculator, ready to publish in the iTunes Apple App Store.

You can begin using Swift code immediately and dive into the course while you learn how to install the software, get the Apple developer license and create iPhone and iPad user interface layouts made of controls like buttons and labels.

Furthermore, after playing with the Swift programming language, you will learn to connect the screen elements to the code to make them interactive.

Yohann Taieb’s Swift language course tutorial includes source code projects that they will be provided to you in this swift course package. The calculator iOS app you will be coding is also totally reskinnable to your taste.
The Swift programming language is now here to stay, so come ride the wave and have fun with us!
